Our Work
What a solar installation looks like on the kind of housing you actually find in Norwich.

Illustrative example. This is not a job carried out by Norwich Solar Panels — we are a quote service, not an installer. It is shown to explain what the work involves on housing typical of Norwich, and no customer, address, system size or generation figure is attached to it.
Before
A bare pitched roof on the kind of property that makes up much of Norwich's housing — medieval and Georgian stock in the centre, Victorian terraces, and interwar and modern housing beyond. Before anything is designed, the installer is looking at covering and condition, rafter spacing, the state of the flashings, how scaffolding will go up, and where the cable run to the consumer unit will go.
During
Scaffolding first, then roof anchors fixed into the rafters and sealed, rails across the anchors, and panels clamped to the rails as the array builds up the slope. The covering is dressed back around each fixing as they go. On Norwich's clay pantile is very common here, alongside slate and concrete tile, this is the stage where an installer who works on that covering regularly earns their money.
After
The completed array, scaffolding down, everything made good. What you cannot see in the photograph is the part that matters most afterwards: commissioning, the grid notification to UK Power Networks, the MCS certificate, the monitoring set up and working, and the handover pack.
What we won't put on this page
A system size, a panel count, an annual generation figure, a price or a named customer. There is no job record behind an illustrative example, so any of those numbers would be invented. The figures worth having are the ones in your own quotation, calculated for your own roof.
Actual generation, savings and export income depend on the system size, roof orientation and shading, your electricity use and tariff, battery usage, weather and future energy prices. Figures are estimates, not guarantees.
